電影入座

導演威斯安德森在勇奪威尼斯影展金獅獎的「大吉嶺有限公司」以及提名奧斯卡最佳動畫的「超級狐狸先生」之後，再度帶來奇趣電影【月升王國】，影片由奧斯卡女星蒂妲絲雲頓與法蘭西斯麥朵曼、奧斯卡提名男星愛德華諾頓、比爾墨瑞與動作巨星布魯斯威利合演，故事設定在 1965 年夏季的新英格蘭海岸島嶼上，劇情描述 12 歲的男孩與女孩相戀，兩人私奔到荒郊野外，小鎮當局展開追捕行動，這個祥和的島嶼社區面臨天翻地覆的風暴。

音樂開始

在聊到音樂靈感時，安德森表示：「1950 年代後期，benjamin britten / 班傑明布瑞頓（英國作曲家與指揮家，創作音樂類型涵蓋管弦樂、室內音樂、宗教音樂、歌劇）創作歌劇作品「noye's fludde / 諾亞方舟」，這齣劇原本是要由教堂中的業餘團體擔任演出，合唱團的成員就是諾亞方舟上的動物。」導演將歌劇中大部分的角色變成了【月升王國】的人物，而布瑞頓的音樂作品自然也成了電影的核心，原聲帶輯錄他的歌劇「諾亞方舟」、「仲夏夜之夢」以及管弦樂作品「the young persons guide to the orchestra」、「songs from friday afternoons」中的音樂，還有跨越歌劇、音樂劇與管弦樂的美國作曲家伯恩斯坦與紐約愛樂樂團的演出，美國鄉村樂傳奇巨星 hank williams 的多首暢銷曲；導演同時邀請曾以「超級狐狸先生」、「王者之聲」等片四度入圍奧斯卡，譜寫過「哈利波特：死神的聖物」、「選戰風雲」等電影音樂的法國/希臘音樂家 alexandre desplat，創作出融合音樂盒音樂與玩具兵軍樂進行曲，兼具童真色彩與哥德音樂風格的綺麗交響樂。
