由滾石雜誌「史上百大經典主唱」第 18 位的 freddie mercury 入籍滾石雜誌「史上百大經典吉他手」第 39位的 brian may 各世代勁旅 foo fighters、guns n' roses、mötley crüe 等團超級鼓手所師法的前輩 roger taylor、1997 年光榮退休的貝斯手 john deacon 等四位大將，自 1973 年開始撰寫屬於 queen 的燦爛史記。freddie 於 1991 年 11 月 24 日辭世，享年 45 歲，queen 持續秉持著 freddie 不死精神昂首闊步再戰樂壇。
2004 年，queen 吉他手 brian may 與鼓手 roger taylor 請來曾任 free 和 bad company 樂團主唱的paul rodgers，以 queen paul rodgers之名活動，4 年後發表原創大碟【the cosmos rocks】，成為全世界的頭條新聞報導，專輯攻下英國金榜第 5 名，銷售獲頒白金認證。首波主打 “say it's not true”，於 2007 年 12 月 1 日世界愛滋日發行，打造一首史詩般撼動人心的抒情大作；接續的 “c-lebrity”，重回 hard rock 榮光，站上英國搖滾榜冠軍。此張影音精裝版本，加收長度約 58 分鐘的日本現場演出實況精華 dvd，重現 queen 昔日的經典大作。
