入選滾石雜誌「top 25 bands on myspace」名單、洛杉磯時報激賞肯定、搖滾天團u2 貝斯手adam clayton公開讚揚的the airborne toxic event，團名靈感則是來自知名作家don delillo 小說「white noise」的章節名稱。2008 年，尚未有任何簽約動作，歌曲“sometime around midnight” 卻在各大電台熱烈播放。同年順利推出首張同名專輯，直奔告示牌熱門潛力榜冠軍，英國市場也注意到他們的蹤跡，快速攀上金榜no.35 位置。其中主打“sometime around midnight” 拿下itunes 年終另類單曲榜冠軍。
醞釀三年的第二張大碟【all at once】，成績更上層樓的登記全美搖滾榜top5 流行榜top17。打從同名序幕“all at once” 開始，一陣陣鼓譟的衝擊感迎面而來，吉他醞釀撥奏攀升激昂情緒，再到“numb” 的洗禮，整個爆發出最high音場，絲毫沒有準備放慢腳步的意思，接連滲入funky 調融快意明朗節奏的“changing”、復古搖擺的“it doesn't mean a thing”、電子佐入龐克野放的“welcome to your wedding day”…等曲目，都是自在無比的爽玩之歌，難以抗拒the airborne toxic event 的過癮狂飆！
