◎史上第一次莫札特歌劇全輯

在莫札特誕生250週年的2006年，莫札特出生地薩爾茲堡的音樂節宣佈史無前例地音樂節中結合目前樂界最傑出的莫札特歌手、指揮家哈農庫特、哈丁、諾林頓、明考夫斯基、慕提……以及七位名歌劇導演，以近兩個月的時間上演莫札特創作的22部歌劇（或是類似歌劇的作品），呈現莫札特的22種面貌。

2006年7月24日至8月31日，每年一度最重要的夏日音樂盛會──薩爾茲堡音樂節──展開了紀念莫札特250週年的歌劇全輯盛大演出。這次的演出不僅明星與導演全力以赴，全新的製作團隊與從來沒有出現過的佈景與服裝，一次全部亮相。dvd發行中由dg取得其中15齣劇的發行權(包括多部首次dvd發行的劇作)、decca則取得其中6部歌劇；tdk則獲得其中一部的發行權利。然而全套33片特價dvd發行，則交由dg統籌執行。
